For Professionals

Thrive Center for Wellness offers a specialized group session, known as the Caduceus, for professionals who have completed treatment and require aftercare that can last from 2-5 years. Thrive Center for Wellness also provides urine toxicology screening for those professionals who require it. Often, these professionals have contracts through the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation. Professionals include doctors, lawyers, LPNs, RNs, pharmacists, police officers, and other professionals who could benefit from a closed group setting. Group members need to complete an initial assessment before joining Caduceus.

Did you know that nurses may avoid discipline against their licenses by self-reporting impairment? Illinois law allows nurses to participate in care, counseling, and treatment for impairment if certain requirements are met, including if the licensee self-reports his/her impairment and/or certain adverse actions within sixty (6 days of the incident. For more information, please review the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation FAQS. You can complete the Nursing Self-Report Form online or call (312) 814-6910 to self-report.

Individual Therapy

Are you having a difficult time handling the struggles in your life?

Could you use an expert opinion or a non-judgmental ear to simply listen to what you are going through?

Do you think you could benefit the most from individualized attention?

Are you hesitant to talk to others about your problems?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then individual therapy could be the solution you’ve been seeking. Individual therapy differs from group or alternative therapy methods in that you are the sole focus of a single therapist who helps you develop and achieve your goals.

If you’ve been feeling hopeless or lost lately, or if you are struggling with a problem in your life that feels unsurmountable, individual therapy could help you improve your everyday life. Individual therapy helps you win against whatever you are battling by putting an expert in your corner – a professional therapist.

If any of these sound like you…

- You keep worrying about the same problem over and over
- You don’t know who you could ever trust with knowing about your secret struggle
- You wish there was somebody who could tell you why you feel this way
- You are interested in therapy, but you don’t want to give up total control
- Your life is negatively impacted by your struggle
- You need somebody to listen to you and your feelings for once
- You are interested in therapy, but not sure how it could fit into your life
… then individual therapy could be right for you.

Individual therapy is helpful for many people because it is the best way to get truly customized therapy. Group therapy has its advantages, but if you want more control over the pace of your therapy, the methods used, the amount of analysis and feedback you receive, and the timing of your sessions, you owe it to yourself to look into individual therapy.

If you are looking for help improving your everyday life or for a more tailored therapy experience, our individual therapy services would be a great fit for you. Please reach out to us today to learn more about individual therapy, a personalized assessment, or to schedule your first appointment.
