The two furthest driving points in the contiguous USA.

You could drive around in circles and create a 10,000-mile road trip around the United States without ever backtracking on the same road.

You could drive around in circles and create a 10,000-mile road trip around the United States without ever backtracking on the same road.

To avoid such ridiculousness, I assume you’re intending to find the two points within the contiguous U.S. that have the longest driving distance based on the shortest path on Google Maps, or any navigational software for that matter.

The longest such path I know of is 3,658 miles (5,887 km).

Start point: 24.594237 N, 81.797872 W (Fleming Key, Florida)

End point: 48.367418 N, 124.692498 W (Neah Bay, Washington)

You would have to get special permission to access the start point on U.S. military property, and you would conclude on that unpaved dead end above overlooking the rolling hills of the Makah Indian Reservation near Cape Flattery.
