Our comprehensive DBT program is an out patient therapy program that designed to help those who have found traditional talk therapy does not meet their needs. The program is most appropriate for adults, teens and families who struggle to control their emotions and behaviors. This program is highly structured, solution focused, and focuses on replacing destructive habits, emotions and thoughts with more effective solutions. The four components of the program are:
1. Weekly individual therapy session: 50 minutes
2. Weekly DBT skills group session: 90 minutes
3. Phone coaching: ability to reach out to your individual therapist for problem solving and crisis management in between sessions
4. Weekly DBT Consultation Team Meeting (this is for your therapist only)
Just participating in a DBT skills group or working with a DBT informed therapist is effective for some. Our program follows the treatment protocol that has demonstrated in many clinical trials to be highly effective for individuals struggling with high risk behaviors, emotional dysregulation, Borderline Personality Disorder, Binge Eating Disorder and addictions.
