I am a fierce lover of life, golf, and all the people walking through my world! I know how busy life can get, especially finding time for exercise and eating well. I have a genuine interest in assisting people to find their version of a healthy lifestyle and a golf game to be proud of!
I started my journey back in Centralia, Illinois where I found my home on the golf course. After attending Southern Illinois University on a golf scholarship, I moved to Florida, turned professional, and joined the LPGA in 1996. Over the course of 8 years, I played on the Futures Tour while learning to teach the great game of golf. During that time, I played in two LPGA majors: The Women’s US Open in 2000 and the LPGA Championship in 2001.
In 2004, I traded in sunny Florida for crisp Illinois to pursue the teaching component I had fallen in love with years before. My life changed dramatically while attending the first ever Titleist Performance Institute’s World Golf Fitness Summit that next year. Two hours into the program, which highlighted the missing component of fitness in the golfers’ lives, I knew I had found my next career. For the first time, there was a deep dive into the role fitness should play in golf. I incorporated what I had learned into my golf lessons and began my personal training career at Fitness Quest.
In addition to focusing on my golf education, I have advanced my skills in the fitness world by obtaining certifications such as, NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), NASM Corrective Exercise, SPIN Pilates, TPI (Titleist Performace Institute) Level 1 and Level 2, Precision Nutrition Level 1, and NESTA just to name a few. Since 2005, I have been working with people of all ages to achieve personal goals for their fitness and nutrition. As a golf pro, I am incredibly attuned to communicating with the client to achieve proper form that fit their goals in their game. As a fitness instructor, I focus on creating a strong core, gaining in flexibility, working on balance, and keeping things new and interesting!
