Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, Tatyana immigrated to the U.S. with her family over 20 years ago, settling just north of Chicago. An engineer by trade, she has never imagined that one day her works would find universal appeal and touch hearts of tens of thousands of people from over 150 countries, who visit her website feeltheline.com and see her works at international shows every year. She only discovered strong desire to draw and begun her journey to mastery less than 10 years ago (2010), completing over 500 works since.
@FeelTheLine artist social media following is exploding with Tatyana’s Pinterest page getting over 400,000 monthly viewers and her Facebook fan page having over 25,000 members and growing fast.
She is masterfully using India ink on cold press paper or canvas, acrylic, mixed media and digital coloring techniques to make her creations. Since 2012, Tatyana has both organized and participated in many successful shows, art fairs and exhibits, illustrated over 25 books including poetry and mystery novels, while continuing to inspire many artists to create in their own style, such as glasswork, mosaic, jewelry, sculpture, body art, and even culinary creations, etc.
For 3 years in the row, in 2016, 2017 and 2018, Tatyana Markovtsev was selected as one of the finalists of the Asia’s largest International Artist Grand Competition organized by the Taiwan International Contemporary Artist Association and for past 4 years has been chosen to participate at ART Revolution Taipei, where she won the Gallery Award Prize in 2018.
As a result of the receiving the Gallery Award, she participated and exhibited 13 of her recent artworks on canvas (30” x 40”) at the International Salon, taking place within ART Revolution Taipei mega event in May 2019.
She just received an official invitation to participate in ART Revolution Taipei 2020 and will be going to Taiwan in May next year.
Additionally, her artworks have been successfully used by medical professionals from various counties to help in treatment of PTSD and depression (European Union, Turkey and USA).
