Family Counseling and Therapy
Whether you are a parent, child, sibling, or extended family member, we understand the importance of how familial relationships impact our daily lives. When we are dealing with familial struggles, it can be almost impossible at times to find balance which then leads to increased tensions and conflict with those we are closest to. Working with our 360 Therapists can teach you and your family the necessary skills in a safe and supportive environment that can deepen family connections and get through stressful times. This usually results in long lasting change that will continue long after your work here is completed. Family therapy is helpful for a many different situations caused by: stress, grief, anger or conflict. We are here to help you and your family members understand one another better, improve your communication skills, and bring you closer.
There are differing ways of working with Family Counseling. However, in general, Family Therapy attempts to assess each individual to see how they individually fit into the greater picture within the family along with the dynamics they lend to the problem. The family is then led, as comfortably as possible, to voice their concerns and a strategy is then worked out where solutions or different behavioral responses can be implemented. An emphasis is placed on remaining safe and comfortable in being able to have each family member’s voice heard so that ultimately, together, the family can come to a better place of understanding and collaboration. This may also include addressing past grievances that may seem to be too difficult to address which is often the case when problems are endemic to the family. Additionally, Family Therapy helps the family identify their strengths as well as the emotional ties that bind them together so you can establish a happier and more fulfilling time together. Used in conjunction with Individual Therapy in order to address individual concerns that may arise, we here at 360 Therapy have assisted many other families and have helped them find ways of working through their differences.
